New Innovation in Walk-In Tubs - Premier Care in Bathing Introduces Blue Spring
Posted Oct 7th 2014
South Daytona, FL- July 29, 2013: Premier Care in Bathing has launched a new walk-in bathtub, the Blue Spring. This one-of-a-kind, innovative product is designed to make bathing safer by providing senior adults, disabled and mobility-challenged individuals with independence and the ability to remain in their homes. As 70 million baby boomers have begun to retire, a new walk-in tub with ground-breaking features was needed to meet the specific needs and desires of this burgeoning market.
Compared to previous designs where the bather is in a sitting position, the Blue Spring model allows the bather a lounging position with a backrest sloped at 18 degrees with legs extended. This enables the bather to recline with the water up to shoulder level. Unwilling to stop at just improving the contour of the tub, the Blue Spring incorporates a heated seat, uses less water to fill to the soaking level, and adds a drain design that empties the tub 30% faster than competitors' models. The addition of easy-to-use controls rounds out the list of improvements.
The namesake for the model, Blue Spring State Park in Florida, is known for crystal clear springs and tranquil waterways; it is refuge to abundant trees, woody plants, flowers, and wildlife, and could be listed as one of the most peaceful places on earth. Designed to stimulate, soothe and relax, the Blue Spring tub appeals to four of the five senses; sight, smell, sound and touch.
With a semi-reclining heated seat and back, the Blue Spring has a very low threshold and an extra wide door for easy entry and exit. There are 16 air jets placed throughout the sides, back, and footwell for a gentle and relaxing massage for the body, legs and feet. The combined effects of gentle heat and the stimulation and sound of bubbling waters boosts circulation, relaxes muscles, and calms the mind.
An additional dimension to the Blue Spring is a built-in oil chamber and aromatherapy diffuser. There are floral, herbal, spice and fruit scents that appeal to just about everyone, and are therapeutically useful for many situations.
Last but not least is the Chromatherapy feature (also called phototherapy) with a rainbow of colors that range from warm reds and oranges to cool blues and greens. Each tub features non-slip floors and seats, ADA compliant easy-use faucets, anti-scald water controls, backlit, one-touch button controls, and a Quickflow high efficiency drain. A positive contact tubular gasket and double-cam, single-lever door lock ensures the owner of a lifetime no-leak warranty.
The Blue Spring is manufactured in Premier's 75,000 square-foot manufacturing plant in Lexington, North Carolina. The "Made in America" label is one of the most important components. With an ever-increasing range of walk-in bathtubs, showers and ADA compliant sinks and commodes, Premier Care in Bathing is able to accommodate nearly every situation and need for the senior adults and those who are mobility challenged or are disabled to ensure safety-conscious bathing and personal care.
